Beginner's tutorial to online poker

This is a short tutorial for beginners at online poker who feel unsure how to start up and play online poker.

First you have to find a poker room then download the software. Install the software and start up the client.
Most clients automatically start up a sign-in window where users type their nicknames and password to enter the site. Choose to register a new user and a registration form should open up. Fill all the necessary slots with the required information and do not sign up with a false name since the sites can ask you to ID yourself when you decide to cash out money. They will not let players cash out money unless the ID name match with the account name. That would be an awkward situation if it is a lot of money.

When registration is done it is time to log in and enter the lobby. Use your nickname and password to sign in. In the lobby you will see information about the games and tables. The information is what kind of game it is, how many players are playing on the table at the moment, what betting limit it is and how many players that can play at the table (6 or 10 is the most common numbers). There are usually special features about the games as well, those include information about how the games on a specific table is, if it's loose, tight or slow (few hands per hour played. Special features include: hands per hour (how many hand that are played on average in an hour at the table), players that see the flop average (how many players that see the flop on average) and medium pot size. The "number of players that see the flop" feature is the most useful because it tells you most about the players.

When making the first deposit a player has many options how to do it. Some easy and quick ways are either with the credit card or Neteller, which is like a web wallet you can deposit and withdraw money to. They are very useful for players who play many sites.

After the deposit the money should show up in the cashier screen available in the lobby. To play in a game you simply click on a table you want to play and choose to sit down. There will be a window asking you how much money you want to sit down with, in a fixed limit game a decent amount is somewhere between 20-40 big bets and in a no limit game the best buy-in is always highest possible.

Now you are ready to continue and play whenever you want. Remember that if a problem occurs don't hesitate to contact the site's support. They are most of the time helpful and willing to help out in short time. For beginner check out for some basic tips to play poker tournament
